Turnip-Aprovecho 6-Root Grex

Brassica rapa.

A more traditional turnip selected by Adaptive Seeds of  Dr. Alan Kapuler’s Six Root Turnip Grex. During their selecting, an 8F winter night killed almost all the roots.  The diversity of root types was reduced but the result was  strong, hardy, round turnips.  We've seen them survive under snow in zone 4 here.  We love making sour turnip ferments with them.
