Poppy, Hungarian Purple Breadseed OG

Paperver somniferum.

Very beautiful large purple flowers give way to huge seedpods full of blue seed. Sow when soil can be worked in Spring. Thin to 6“ apart. me.  Poppy's are very fun to grow and one of the first things that gets planted on our farm.  Its a delight to watch the flower wrap up and create a hard spherical seed head where portals open from the top and hundreds of future poppies disperse from within.
